Need some insurance for my truck and most companies will not go over 10,000#s. I am just under, by 20#s, and do not want to risk being over when everything is done and not being covered. I know there is a few insurance guys on here, who can help get me covered. I need to do something today as my 30 days is almost over.

I would check with companies that insure big rigs as well.

Thanks, that is who I have been checking with and it looks like that is what I have to go with, due to the gvwr. If anyone thinks that boat (cat) insurance is a ripoff try comercial truck insurance. They are quoting me from $4,200 to $12,000 per year

Just got of the phone with my 6th company. So far the best has been Financial Indemnity Insurance Company-Commercial which is brokered through Auto Insurance Specialists.

holy crap that's expensive..... Imagine 12k per year for the truck and 8k a year for the boat, plus all your other insurnace... 20k per year to insure it all is Fking nuts! Can you put a bond on it instead?

I am not sure about doing a bond. I don't want to do anything wrong in case something happens so I don't bullshit them about it. Some regular insurance companies will do it but its not legit-so not for me. Yeah, insurance is definatley a rip off.

No double trailer as I gots me one of those two seater skidoo thingies, but it has no trailer brakes so the dealer told me I had better have a big truck to stop the trailer. I hope the air brakes will hold it. :p

I think I am going through this company-Financial Indemnity Insurance Company-Commercial which is brokered through Auto Insurance Specialists. They know exactly what they are insuring. You may be alot cheaper in Nor-Cal, If I lived in the next county (20 miles) it would be about 1/3 cheaper according to most of the agents. Living in LA County really sucks. My limits are also very high and I do have one ticket (Stupid ticket comes of in less than a month).
Good Luck and hope it is not that bad.

I can help you out & I can write w/ FIC (who you said was the best rate). AIS will jam you with a large broker fee & I don't charge anyone from HB a broker fee.
I'll be in on Monday (if you can wait). If you can't wait, leave a message over the weekend & I'll try to make it in.
