Question for the inside the house dog owners. Are Labs easy to train or keep in the house. My biggest concern is for when Im away. DO they tear things up? Im looking to get a new dog since putting my dog down last month.
I kinda like the idea of a small dog, but cant stand them lil things always barking at everything!! Any suggestions?

you have to find a good breeder. I found happy off a thread that was on here. www.aaalabs.com
I before I bought her I wanted to find out what her parents were like. I went to see what there deminor was like. They were very calm and just stood there in the mist of dogs going crazy. I waited over 5 years until the time was right. Main thing was I want the kids to be old enough. sure glade I puled the trigger on her.........she's awesome. As far as potty training, Labs are ver smart dogs. In fact mine is almost potty trained at 8 weeks old. Its really easy.

When we got her, the lady at the rescue place shortened her track name "Tallented Racer" to Tallie for her name. My little cousins had just got done reading a book in grade school about a dog who had bad breath, and they called the dog "Tallytosis" instead of Halletosis (sp?), so we call her Tosis sometimes too. She is a bundle of laughs!
It is funny to hear of another dog with the same name!!! :D

That's funny. Whenever I tell my friends my dog's name they look at me like, "Why would you name her that?" Then I have to tell the story. She has many variations on her name though:
Tally Ho Bag
Little Ho
Tally-ban
& whatever else is made up on the spot

Baylie's parents were Dee and Bandit. I am sure some how they are related. Baylie has been an awesome dog. She is so eager to learn and please us. I can't wait to get her to the river this year since she'll be older and play all day, rather than sleep all day in the boat when she was 8 weeks old.
