I have flown both.....
I was big into r/c millitary scale......before the days of jet cats and turbines... The last one I had was an F4 Phantom.......I found out the model wasn't much better than the real thing in a flat spin...:D
Decided a blown Eliminator was a less expensive hobby...:D

four stroke motors dont rev high enough for you typical 1/8car. you would need to build you own gear box. car engines usually run in the 20,000 plus rpm. four stroke airplane engines are meant to run at low rpms 8000-10000rpms. very high torque to turn bigger props for a more scale like sound. also the four strokes also run on nitro, 20% with 20% oil content. The only engines that dont run on nitro are the large scale two strokes 40cc all the way up to 200cc for the 1/3 scale birds. they use pump gas mixed with oil.

i was planing on playing with gearing to compensate for the loss of rpm i just want a motor that holds tune beter than my nitro motors
