I heard the Sandbar is still covered with reeds, grass, etc. Where will the new summer hang out be? Any word if that crap is going away?
It will be missed, I love hanging out there.

Yes the reeds are still there but they look like they are dying. They were pretty brown last weekend. Over New Years when I was up there they were nice and green.

Can't we just go at it with a weed wacker? Some moonlight night when the
"MAN" isn't around ;)

That stuff will be gone by summer with the changes in weather and then when the crowds come. You know the old saying "you can't grow grass on a busy street".

You would need one hell of a weed whacker. Probably a 300x. :D

I know there are always places to go, but I really like the Sandbar.
I don't know how anything can really grow on that thing anyways. It is sandy and gets covered in water all the time. Was it true they were seeding it? If so, why do they think it would grow. If nature cant make it grow there, man sure is hell isn't.
Lake Havasu Ass-off 2007... Maybe?

Is that really a saying? I thought is was "don't smoke grass on a busy street".

That's why everyone is hanging at DILLIGAF's house this year.:D :D
Although hangin' at the Sandbar (Reedbar) might be the place to hang because L.E. won't be able to see all the swingers, boob, and underage drinking...:hammer2: :D

It was there all last summer. Does it kind of look like the plant that grows at the other end of the lake, you know the stuff that gets brown in the winter and then turns green in the summer. By the way I'd be real careful cutting it down, you know Federal Preserve and all, that could lead to a big fine or jail time.

True. That's why the alarm at my house is wired up like Fort Knox. It is harder to differentiate in Bullhead though because it's not just the tweakers missing their teeth. :D

(1982),but I have NEVER seen reeds like that!!:jawdrop:

Have everone bring out bleach in water bottles and walk around pouring it on the plants, but make it look like you are just pouring out some water. It will kill the plants and make the bottom of your hull white all at the same time!

Has anyone seen that small lake of the 40 in Newburry Springs? ...You see people riding jet skis in it??...My friends neighbor owns it. Well anyways I went out there about 2 years ago and they guy had about 10 guys including myself pull out all that crap to make a path. It was exhausting. Alot of work. I think a tractor would be the best bet for the sandbar.:D

I have always wondered about that. The weeds look real thick in there.
What is the background on that anyhow?

Its a little lake. You can see the big part of it from the 40. The rest is behind the weeds. The guy has a house in the background. Then he has a huge barn behind that were he keeps all his jet skis. Theres a huge water pump room were he pumps the water from underground and a indoor showers and bathrooms to the side of that for his outdoor guests. Real cool guy! Its a fun place to go out for a day or two but nothing like the river. The entire lake is only about 4-5ft deep and its real mushy feeling at the bottom. The weeds were a bitch and since me and my friend were the youngest... we did all the work while all the old guys drank beers.;)
