Atleast its small and fixable....I've seen alot worse happen to the bosses truck after some one got the axe. I saw a sub that just got fired go over to the supers brand spanky new F-350( litterly 2 weeks old) and took his airless full of a epoxy paint spray every inch of that truck, broke window and sprayed the inside. The guy was a tweaker... thats why he was fired.

Just think about all the drivers on the freeway trying to catch up to you so they can read the little message on your tailgate and then they get close enough to read it and it says that. I know it’s not funny to you right now but think about it for a couple minutes.

several years ago I had a year old gt convert...had it two weeks and someone ran a very sharp object from both sides over the hood and burned two or three holes in the top...I thought it was "about me"..
turns out 85 other cars got it that night...

I just hate that shit. It bugs me to see that.
I have my fair share of past employee problems as well.
After I fired a guy for steeling my tools, filling his own truck with my gas card, buying food at the mini mart with my gas card, I get a surprise letter from the EDD saying I have cheated this ex employee out of 10 hours a week overtime for the past 6 months. My wife worked on that hassle for over 3 months. I was guilty until I proved myself innocent.
What a little f'n piece of work.

I had a vette one time, after a breakup, and it was keyed. I had the damage repaired and a few weeks later, it was keyed again, had the damage repaired, and a few weeks later... keyed again. By the time this BITCH (although I could never prove it was her) was done keying my car, the entire freaking car had to be repainted... I can't stand a piece of shit that does that! http://***boat.com/ubb/mad.gif

Before you turn it in to your insurance company you might try taking it to a local body shop. Most key scratches can be color sanded out with 2000 grit paper then machine buffed and polished. The actual scratch almost never gets to the paint. It only damages the clear coat in most cases. That is why it looks white and contrasts the paint. This would be well worth the $100 to $200 the body shop charges because then your truck would not have paint work, you don't have a claim go against your insurance and I'm guessing your deductable is more than $200.

Like he said, just go to a body shop and get a quote then you can decide to turn it in or not. We own a collision shop and rule of tumb is not to turn it in unless its at least twice your deductible.
