I guess they are just blowing off a little steam but this photo sure is a good way to jeopardise your job. Definitely CHP. I'm all for people having fun, but I sure wouldn't want this pic to be on the internet.
This is off a motorcycle forum.

Rider in the far lane doesn't have the technique down well. Leaning too far back, arms streched out, knees flailing in the wind, bike seems to pitching off to the right as well. Maybe a bad day for him. Good height though.
I give him a 5. Looks to me that he is close to coming up with a good excuse as to how the bike got wrecked.
Rider in the near lane has it down, I bet this isn't his first wheelie, probably not on the cruiser either. Definitely a sport bike rider. Just right in the attitude of rider, arms bent right, knees close in, leaning forward, bike seems to like it. Needs to be a little higher, but he shows good aptitude.
I give him a 9. Nice form.

By the look of the fencing I'd say that pic was taken is on some sort of test or practice track and not the highway.

I would guess some of their safety training involves, let's say, special circumstances.
I don't know if this is the case or not, but I would be inclined to agree.
Either way, might not lose their jobs, but sure to get a reprimand for the camera.

I'm surprised they could get the front to lift. A freind of mine had wheelies dialed in on his sport bike. He rented a Gold Wing one time and tried to wheelie it but the bike was too heavy and the rear wheel would just spin.

That's funny, I see just the opposite. The rider in the far lane looks relaxed and comfortable on the bike. The rider in the near lane looks very tense and is just wating for the bike to do something wrong.

"Being ready for something to go wrong" is the proper way to stay out of trouble.
You have obviously never wheelied a bike.
The guy in the far lane with the poor form will eventually run out of luck and wheelie over backwards or loose balance and fall off to on side or the other.
It isn't the same as riding wheelies on a bicycle.

Two things. Hopefully they learned young. THEIR FORM SUCKS.
Second if your doing a proper wheelie you should in fact keep one hand off the bars so you can shoot back at the robber your chasing.:jawdrop:

I can tell ya how you know the guy in the far lane is inexperienced or won't ride that wheelie long.
He can't see the pavement in front of him, and that helps when driving.

Quick FYI... 40 Flatdeck raced supercross as a pro rider for 10 years, has ridden motorcycles as a stuntman for multiple movies and features and is likely one of the best riders I know...
But you were saying... ;)

Suit yourself,
FYI...You may need to update your roster of the best riders you know....
I can't imagine a person with that kind of pedigree would post that the far lane wheelie has good form, I don't care what he has done in his career.

Clearly those are not 100 mph wheelies, but when you have one, sometimes you gotta hang a knee to steer it, as well you have to peek around the outside.,it's a little more relaxing to be able to see where you are going.:D

So you do that and you get a ticket. Chit I think I saw Jon and Ponch do that on CHIPS.
