My dad has a 1989 Hallet Vector. 21ft with a stock 454 Merc with a Bravo One. He is running a 21P SS 3 blade prop and turning 5500rpms at 66.6mph on gps.
Any ideas on what prop he should be running?

22 pitch Bravo I 4 blade will put him around 5100 to 5200. It will be a great all around prop for that boat.

That's moving pretty good for a Vector/stock 454 with a 21?
5500 - you sure he's stock?
My 95 Hallett 210, 454 mag w/wrenched 25" Hill/Lightnings would do 70, but never over 4900

he bought the boat from a buddy 8 years ago. it had 45 hours on it when he bought it. It now had 409 hours. And is still all stock to best of out knowledge. We had it out today. And did 66.6 mph at 5500 rpms. It just seams like it had more but it needs more prop.

I haven't had to calculate prop garb in a while but I think you're right. There's still room to have fun if he can go up to 5500.
Anyone, anyone...someboy got that prop slip calculator handy?

Thats the problem. He doesnt want to rev her out to 5500rpms with 409 hours on it and being that she is 18 years old. I was looking to tame her down a bit with some more prop.
