Looking for a tile guy in the So Cal area.I have some flooring and shower tile work need pricing on.

Putting in a new shower valve and then doing tile.How far should the valve be back from the surface of the tile.Im putting the new valve in tomorrow but dont want to screw the tile guy when he does his stuff.Example,not wanting to have the valve sticking out too far or in too far?What depth should it be at?

Im going to try and get a dry wall guy in here to fix the walls and retexture everything,then have the shower tile done.I think that would work out best.Then I will do the flooring in the bathroom,dining and entry way all at once.
Sound about right?

Yes it does. You may also want to do the painting. Its easier to do touch up rather then trying to cut in around a bunch of fixtures.

...my cuz has been doin alot of tile jobs between here and where he lives in Temecula, and just did 2 showers for my "flip this biatch" house for $3500..if you need another phone # let me know :D

I just finished my 8 hour day of laying tile with my dad and his friend in my den. I give the guys who do this for a livings a lot of props. That job sux!
