I guess this was an easier target than getting real criminals.

It's still going to be legal in Arizona for trucks to have splash guards with racist terms and silhouettes of naked women.
The state House on Thursday rejected a Democratic amendment that would have banned splash guards with images that are "obscene or hateful."
Tempe Democrat Ed Ableser sponsored the amendment. He said he'd seen a splash guard that used a derogatory term for black children and said he wanted to make sure that people with hateful motives didn't inflict them on others.
Democratic Rep. Theresa Ulmer of Yuma supported the amendment and said it fit with lawmakers' other efforts to crack down on pornography and sexual predators.
"I personally am tired of explaining to my 11-year-old son why they (women) are depicted on mudflaps , but not all women are 36Ds. He's very confused by that," Ulmer said. "But seriously, this is about family values -- what are we going to send out as a message to our children."
Republican Rep. Andy Biggs of Gilbert opposed the amendment. He said it probably violated First Amendment protections for free speech and that "hateful" isn't defined by law.
Ableser's amendment, rejected on a 31-19 roll call vote, would have been added to a bill (HB2316) sought by the Arizona Trucking Association to change Arizona's height requirement for rear fender splash guards. The bill was given preliminary approval and now awaits a formal House vote

Some NICE officer is being held on one MILLION dollars bail because he may have assaulted and raped a MINOR!! while his nice kids and wife were at home?? They live in Corona or Chino?? REAL NIce but atleast they are catching some REAL criminals now. (IM HAPPY NOW):confused:So now on the mucflap deal. Does this mean if a picture of a silhoet of a beutifull lady is now illegal that all the lovely beutifull ladies out there will be wearing trench coats and masks or veils to conform to the next laws WE vote into place? GREAT! Oh sooo pasties legal in Havasu and illegal to have a silhoet of a ladies pretty figure on your mud flap is not?? Ok maybe the feds should take a little power from our local government??

Tempe Democrat Ed Ableser sponsored the amendment.
Now how did I guess that lol.
It never ceases to amaze me how some envishion government's purpose as being the child care provider and babysitter of all things that someone might find offensive or non PC.
Please protect me Ed. I don't have a brain or the ability to choose what I deem offensive to myself or my children. Mud flap images are a huge societal problem. I'm so glad the AZ populace elected you to handle the priorities that government should be paying attention to. Look south Ed, look south. I guess the coyotes entering and driving dangerous truckloads of illegals on our roads will get to continue to use the mudflaps of their choice now. Way to keep your eye on the ball Ed, Bravo...

So what does Ms. Ulmer tell her 11 year old son when he sees a real life woman with 36Ds? Does she feel the need to explain to him that not all women have those voluptuous curves? And why do I have this sneaking suspicion that she is not one of those lucky women? http://www.***boat.com/ubb/graemlins/idea_2.gif

I think the real problem is that Rep. Ulmer is a man hater. :D
She stomped Mr. Ulmer's ass into the dirt a few years ago and now junior has no positive male image in his life. He's starting to get gender confused because Rep. Ulmer is seeing an overweight Harley riding dyke.....it's just a real mess.
And the mud flaps........the mud flaps are gonna push junior right over the edge. ......:jawdrop: :jawdrop: :D :D

When is Ed's birthday? I'd like to send him an official RCL birthday greeting.

I wonder what Sheriff Joe Arpaio would say about filling his jails with these "mudflap" offenders.

<sigh> Another elected official saving me from me.. between the "no spanky" folks in Ca., and the "save Terri" wakkos last year in Fla, this takes the cake.. no more chrome plated hooters on the splash guards of the F-150 in front of me...I am doomed...

God dammit! That was the whole reason why i was goin to lift my truck, so that i could run those bitchen chrome naked lady sillouettes. Oh well do you think i could still run those on the flaps if i could find them in a 32 B?
