I was in 12 this past weekend and it was packed in the washes and there really wasn't a dust issue. It all depends if you have a little breeze it helps...

We just dont like being by the Frwy...to Boardmanville! If ya know what I mean!;) The kids need a place to ride...and since we bought the pusher...we cant go into the dunes like we used to with the toybox & truck.
Maybe Buttercup or Gordons??? I havent taken the kids there yet. (That was where I used to go as a kid) Not a bad ride to China Wall....for what I remember???? I think....

Im game for a race to China wall!! This last weekend a buddy of mine and I raced to gordons well from Glamis. Nice 18 mile ride at 80mph, had some interesting moments, he almost got hit by a rail, and I scared the be-jesus out of a family on a rhino when we passed them through the woops at about 60. But we are making this weekend out last out for the season and starting up the boating season again in march. :D

Glamis was outstanding :) Wash 12 was a winner in our book...we were about as far back as we could go right off of 12's turn off. Not crowded, not too sandy (don't worry about getting stuck), flat, very little traffic...and we had a great little dune track for the kiddo's right next to our camp. Pretty good real estate IMO.

Take 78 past Gecko road and pass vendor row just past Glamis beach store before RR tracks make a right. You are now on wash road. As you look to the left at each wash you'll see a number and that's what wash you are at. As you pass # 12 pull over to right and stop and call cell and I'll come out in Rhino and lead you in. Basically there is a road that leads you to the back of #12 and that's were we'll be. I'm going to try and hit the road around 2pm myself.

Been there done that hun. We blew two motors the first year we had ours. They tried to say we didnt break it in properly...then come to find out it wasnt set up correctly by the motor builder. Had it dyno'd a few times to figure it out.

Joe doesn't drive the car nearly as hard as JP. Joe is still semi afraid of what the car can do so he babies it. If the motor went away while Joe was driving it, something that broke shouldn't. :(

Joe doesn't drive the car nearly as hard as JP. Joe is still semi afraid of what the car can do so he babies it. If the motor went away while Joe was driving it, something that broke shouldn't. :(

JP said that the first time he broke it, he took it to about 8k. He said that it should not have blown, but at 8k rpm, things come part easily. :( This time, Joe was driving it. I just talked to him. He sounds a little bitter over the whole deal. The car is in getting fixed now but hes not sure exactly when its gonna be done or who is picking up the tab.

Something definitely went wrong. Something colided with the spark plug. It sounded like it dropped a valve. Hopefully it didn't destroy his block. :( I havent talked to him since Ocotillo. :(

I thought the motor sounded funny when we were in Parker in Jan. It had too much valve tick IMO.

The only ticking that I heard was from the fuel injectors. Those things are LOUD!
We ran the car another couple of times after that and it never seemed to have any issues. I think that the person who is doing the motor needs to figure out his valve train assembly. JP only goes as high as 6K rpm in a Subaru. Those things should be able to stay together at 7-8K if built right.

What do I look like a Thomas Guide????... It's actully wash 12 because wash 10 is the bar entrance too much dust. It's pretty easy though. Take 78 past Gecko road and pass vendor row just past Glamis beach store before RR tracks make a right. You are now on wash road. As you look to the left at each wash you'll see a number and that's what wash you are at. As you pass # 12 pull over to right and stop and call cell and I'll come out in Rhino and lead you in. Basically there is a road that leads you to the back of #12 and that's were we'll be. I'm going to try and hit the road around 2pm myself.
