WOW! Ya, the Lakers have had a lot of injuries this year. Maybe it has something to do with their off-season and conditioning? I don't know but.....
MRI shows torn labrum for Lakers' Odom
Associated Press
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom was diagnosed Saturday with a left shoulder injury.
Odom, who was injured Friday night against Sacramento, underwent an MRI exam Saturday that revealed a torn labrum, team spokesman John Black said. He didn't travel to Phoenix for a game on Sunday and will see a doctor Monday. Odom got hurt when he was fouled by Sacramento's Brad Miller with 2:47 remaining of a 116-108 loss. Odom finished with 26 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.
Black said the team would not speculate on whether Odom could be sidelined indefinitely.
It was the second major injury of the season for Odom, who missed 1 1/2 months because of a sprained right ankle before returning Jan. 27.
Two years ago, Odom sustained the same left shoulder injury, underwent surgery and missed the final two months of the season.
Luke Walton is set to see a specialist Monday about his sprained right ankle. He has missed 16 games.
Kwame Brown returned Friday night after missing 27 games because of a severely sprained right ankle.

yeah, it sucks! And you say injuries are no excuse, they are still missing Walton and Radmanovic, Kwame just came back but it will take him some time to recover.
Lamar was JUST starting to get his game back. 25 points 13 rebounds and 6 assists and he was playing angry again.
Oh well, as always, the Lakers will hold it down short handed. But, once they can get their core back, you will see that same team you saw at the beginning of the year.
And conditioning? Please DILLF, I dont think you can condition for sprained ankles, snow board accidents and jammed shoulders.

Look at all the haters come out every time the Lakers have some misfortunes. The Lakers were not going to win all this year anyway, so more experience for everybody else, this only makes them that much stronger for next year. I am still proud of the Lakers, to be able to stay in the playoff race with all of there injuries is a very good sign for the future.

Very true Don, I don't see how you can condition and avoid all of the injuries the Lakers have had.

Good points. The rest of this season is going to be tough, but it will make them stronger. It'd be nice if they could get that early season play going again. Hoping Walton can get back soon, and KBrown can get it going strong.

How about this, if anyone is going to post about the Lakers, they must be educated enough (ABOUT THE NBA and not one weak team) before they start hating. :D

If I was you I would not knock myself so much Don :) I have forgotten more about the NBA than you currently know. I used to read stats books for fun and actually watched the NBA since '69. Were you even born by then? Little nugget for you head LF...my first favorite player in the NBA was a young center named Lew Alcindor. You remember him don't you?
Friggin' whippersnappers thinking they have all the answers to everything.....lol
