Wait for me!!! I'll be right there!!! I hate being stuck in the classroom on days like this. I need to find some outdoor lesson before our two weeks of spring are up. ;)

Well it sure was a nice clear weekend that's for sure. I spent 10+ hours in the Santa Ana's last Saturday.
Standing in the snow on the main divide you could see Catalina and way past Lake Smellsmore.

yeah well I like it too but I'm glad it's over. I did the Warriors Society's Counting Coup endurance race. That's their shorter version. Only 42.5 miles and 8,627' of total accent. My GPS read 44.65 miles and 8,856' as we did a little extra credits.
Here's the route.

Thats a fun ride. I ride motorcycles and dirt bikes out there all the time. Some of the trails get a little hairy. :jawdrop:

you won't be riding a motocycle on those single tracks. Well you are not supposed to anyway. And they are so tight I don't really see how you could. Upper Holy Jim and West Hoserthief I think would be very hard to go down on something that big and heavy.
But if you want to give it a shot we are going to do Bell Ridge soon. I'd love to see you clean the "I can't see bottom" drop. I'm not sayin you can't do it but just sayin it would be bad ass to see.
There is another trail that splits off of Upper Holy Jim and is tight single track all the way to the 15! Some sections are steep steep steep!

It was awesome here in Havasu. My wife asked me if I would take her to lunch, so I went out in the garage, and hooked up the boat. She walked outside, and I said "Come on, were running to the Springs". So, we ran on down, and it was glass smooth the whole way, got lunch, ran back and sat it the channel for a while. No wind today, and nice and warm. They say it's only going to get better for the rest of the week. :D

My family has quite a bit of property back in the general area. We have easements (?SP) all around the area. I have ridden from the back side of the 241 roll road at the 91 all the way out to the backside of Mission Viejo. Most of the property is either in William's Canyon or between Williams and Silverado. We have a gate key for the fire access gates around the area. We mostly stick to the fire trails. Once you start getting off the trails, you are screwed.

yeah, like the guy who went off the side of the Silverado Motorway and spent the night with a broken leg. Lucky he was not big kitty food.
So you have a key to the gate eh. I'll have to keep that in mind. You should get your hands on a bike and do that trail that goes to the 15 with us. That's one of the few I have not bagged yet and I hear it's worth it.
