Here is the deal, I have an 05 25' with a Mag HO. At WOT the alarm beeps until I drop it down about 100rpms. I'm thinking rev limiter. I was running a 23" 4 blade revolution. I switched to a 24" blade because I thought I was tapped 5150rpms. Any ideas or suggestions? More prop, cup or could it be something else??? I can back it off and the beeping noise stops but what fun is that? Got great oil pressure so I don't think it is that.

Yes, you will get an audible alarm when the engine is at the limiter. If it's just getting to the limiter, as the temps warm, you won't get there for long. If youare are spinning the 23 three blade, try a 24 four blade. I bet you see a little more speed, and your mid range is much better.

Prop is too small... Look into a labbed 26. Your HO will top out a little over 5000 to 5100 and you'll pick up about 2 to 3 MPH, but it will take a little longer to roll over.
