After a few beers and a long 4 hr. quad ride I swam in the Gila River near Florence, AZ last Sun. I still had to ride another 3 hrs to get back to my truck to head home. I was spent for two days but am ready to do it again.:D

I'm so going to the river house in Parker this weekend! Been hot here in Havasu around 96 today and around that temp this weekend in Parker. :)

no... we never do hubby is to picky...but ,there is someone in the house every weekend...the neighbors are really kewl too... the watch it during the week...the are both retired from cali...we are alway out in havi year round ...hardley ever miss a weekend

lol naw , we have a st vehicle that is a 15 passenger van we use for work every day... and hubby is the driver...soo we never drive the truck , unless we are going to havi...from barstow it takes us 2 hrs, to get to havi...and the boat launch is about 4 miles away...from the havi house...its an 04 and has 55 thous miles on it... guess that isnt too bad...

lol we work for the st of cali "veterans affair"...every military person, can live in the barstow veterans home...there is a waiting list for the SNF but other than that...if ya know of anyone ..let them know of the home...:( they take really good care of the vets

from barstow it takes us 2 hrs, to get to havi...
How fast are you driving? From barstow it takes me 2hours 45 min with the construction zone at 80mph. 186 miles from Barstow proper to Havasu limits, divided by 2 hours = 93mph average speed, you must be doing 100+ most of the way with that long segment of construction zone at 45mph....
