Sorry if I sound dumb about this. Just have an idea. I want to put the chrome rings that stick out around my guages (you've all seen them on the high-end boats). I was under the assumption they were called bezels. Yet, when I look at places that sell bezels they go behind the guage as a beauty ring. So my questions is what are they exactly called, and where do I get them? Are they guage specific?

Bezels. I bought mine for my Spectra at Rex Marine.

That's what I thought. But they show them as a beauty ring style, yet call them bezels. Isn't it a seperate piece?

The ring you are talking about is part of the gauge, the orange is the bezel, the chrome is part of the gauge:

What you're tlking about is the gauge rim. It is part of the gauge itself and as far as I know can't be purchased and added later.

Just buy all new Autometers from www.rexmar.com The guages really aren't as expensive as you would think. Then your problems are solved. :)

Technically gauge manufacturers call the swedged on rim the bezel. But it is not removable or changable by the user.
The aftermarket beauty rings you speak of are also called gauge bezels in the industry.
Confusing, yes I guess.
Now lets discuss wheels and rims. :)
or large vs "grande".
