Apparently, the guys at the top at ESPN didn't think Joe was working out anymore than the rest of us did last fall when we wound up watching MNF with the sound turned down and listening to the play-by-play on radio.
According to my copy of Sports Illustrated dated 04-02-07, page 34, Joe (The Hair) Theismann won't be returning to the booth next fall.
Since Tony K. continually made him look stupid by pointing out his wishy-washy flip-flop style of "commentary", ESPN has replaced him with Ron Jaworski. At least Jaworski can form a thought and then speak it, so it has to be an improvement.
ESPN says they are keeping Joe around, I dunno what for.
Maybe he can run the valet parking at their HQ or something.
