If you like mexican food (breakfast burritos and such), there is Casa Hernandes or Fernandez, I can't remember the exact name. It is basically the next building toward the lake from Absolute. Right next door.

Yup, Casa Fernandez for the mexican food style breakfast is hard to beat. Black bear diner is always good, but for that "greasy spoon" feelin breakfast joint either Peggy's or my favorite, Uncle Kenny's are both top notch.

There's a Mex place off of Kiowa called something generic like "Mexican Restaurante." GOOOOOOD authentic grub, but they run the place on Tiajuana hours. You never quite know when Pepe is going to roll out of bed and go unlock the damn doors.
We've spent MANY Sunday mid-mornings sitting in the parking lot waiting for someone to show up.
It's the epitome of a hole-in-the-wall, but not in the glory hole sense.
