Air service being cut from Havazoo!!!!!!

Not good news for us that fly US Airways/Mesa airlines into Havasu. They announced that all service will be discontinued as of May 6. They are the only airline that services Lake Havasu City.

I thought all commercial was already out of havasu. That would have changed quite a few things for me last summer. I am willing to bet an OC to Havasu flight would do pretty well.

Charter would be the only alternative now eh?
When you flew, how many people would be on those flights? And are they premature with the cutoff, seems like summer months there'd be more flight activity.

It seems to me that the city council of Lake Havasu City could do something about this.
Due to the size of the town and the proximity to a larger, metropolitin airport, the town is a prime candidate for an Essential Air Service contract. What this means is that the Federal Govt. subsidizes the cost of a regional carrier into the area. Kingman has air service as well as Page, ShowLow and Sierra Vista under this program.
