That is Norton Sales, and it's where I have been going for years! We buy all kinds of surplus equipment, guages, test rigs, valves, etc for use in my test lab here at work.
I was talking to Carlos the other day, and he can't believe the publicity he has gotten from the LA Times article.....he told me that Discovery channel even called and is pondering a reality show to document his customers, what they buy, and what they use it for....
For instance, he's got customers in the model rocket field. Not the Estes kind, but the big ones where big clubs have big launches in the desert. Then he's got a ton of movie customers looking for props. Another example is Scaled Composites in Mojave (Space Ship One) where much of the stuff Rutan used was bought surplus from guys like this!! Finally, he's got customers like me who buy various hoses/fittings and other hydraulic assemblies for use in testing my products here at work.

He refers to APEX in his little article. I worked there growing up, my dad and the man that owned it were really good friends. He just passed a few years ago. But his son and wife still run the place. Back in the early 90's the Smashing Pumpkins filmed one of there music videos in his back lot.

I'd like to put that big rocket motor out in the yard and start working on it so the neighbors would ask questions.
"What? Just launching a little satellite so I can get free HBO. Never you mind."
Reminds me of that $6 million man episode where he has to go buy parts to repair himself.
