After alot of thinking, talking, planning, researching, etc,,, I finally decided to get the Trident instead of a big cat. Its just a better buy for me right now as I have so many irons in the fire. WE are going to put an Ilmor 710 in it and both Wes and I are eager to see what it will do. I am very impressed with Wes's knowledge of his and other boats on the market abd his business tactics, such as knowing im going to buy something and staying on me about his boats as well as offering help if I decided to go another route. Anyway I have started a couple threads recently about this topic and feel confident this will be the last one for a while. To all that havent ridin in a Trident or talked to Wes about them, you really owe it to yourself to take a ride in 1. If I can tell such a dramatic difference being so new to hot boating, you will too. Thanks to Wes and Trident for helping me make the right decision!!! :D
Ill be posting about the progress after we sign all the papers next week!

Is it going to be a new build or already in stock? What colors? You should pick up that white and blue one.

"Yep word travels fast. I am going to use the 710 in my new one. After all the stories about Ilmors customer service and quality I have full confidence in using them! Wes's boat does 93 with the 550 in it, i cant wait to see what the 710 does!"

Excited to see the new Trident, but why not just re-power your NEXT?
I heard that it ran hard for powerboat with an 800efi

Because its REALLY expensive to do that. I was looking at a couple motors 1 being TPI's 848 which is 40,000 then i need a drive and intallation. Id like to just sell it before the Trident gets here but who knows, hopefully it will sell fast! Either way I just like the Trident alot better, more room, better features, etc... If im going to spend alot on a boat i want to make sure its what i really want now and all that plus 100+ no problem. Im sold! :-)

I wish I could make the move right now. I talked with Wes last week about the red one he has, very impressive. I've looked at almost all the decks but have yet to see the Trident in person. I have to believe it will blow most of them away in terms of performance and utility.
Enjoy and keep us posted on how it works out for you.

Hey Throttle, i hope this will be the last one for a while. Im sure im never going to lose the addiction of going faster and getting a bigger boat. Hopefully this one will satisfy the need for a year or 2 as my business grows and i start making my money back on investments and such. im sure as the business grows so will the toys! :D

Im going to sell it for 115K as it sits now, thats with the 5 year mantenence plan and warranty, it covers the whole boat the full term for warranty issues as well as upkeep. I also put about 7500.00 worth of stereo in it as well.

Yes, there is a special warranty company for the boat and problems, but Az Discount will do all the mantenence!

First off congrats. I had the pleasure to see this boat in person last weekend in Havasu. It's gorgeous. Wes was nice enough to walk me through it.
As far as the 710 goes.....I asked Wes about estimated speeds. He said somewhere in the neighborhood of 110-115 mph if I'm not mistaken (and I could be, it was mid day and I'd had a few drinks at that point).

You definitely get the thumbs up from me on that red Trident.... I've been to the shop, well, a lot :D I hope to be able to afford one soon :)
Wes has a great performance deck, and I wish him the best... fo sho!
