OUCH! One of the guys that worked on my husbands crew shot one right through the top of his upper lip and into his nose. So he basically nailed his lip to his right nostril. The guy was a dumbass and always getting hurt on the job. He no longer works for my husband LOL. :D

I had one split and go through the board I was nailing and bounce off the knuckle on my right hand. It must have hit the bone, cuz it hurt like hell for a couple of hours.

I told him to take a cats paw with him to the hospital so the doctor could pull the nail out of his hand, he thought I was joking.http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/nail2.jpg

Had a guy standing on scaffold on one side of a wall. Reaches through the studs to nail the back side of a fire block. Missed the block. The nail ricochets off the stud and hits him right in the throat, but hits him sideways and didn't stick. Guy thought he was dead. Best look on his face ever. Dipshit.

I watched a guy fill his ass up with paint... he was spraying with a gas powered airless, the guard was removed. he swung the gun over his shoulder to talk to teh foremen... leaned back against the extention ladder he was on. My understand is they had to cut the cheek off.
( for all of you that don't know airless spray paint between 2200-3500 psi thru a tip thats .08-.023 wide)

What a bunch a dumb-asses. I have never shot myself with a framing nailer. Sure I've shot myself with a Brad nailer and a finish nailer, but never a framing nailer, that's just stupid.:D
People always say "what a dumb-ass" whenever anybody does this, but after nailing thousands of buildings together for years on end, it's really pretty damn easy to be bored as hell and not paying too much attention. Also the spring loaded safteys are so stiff on the avereage 16d nailer, that they tend to slip off shit and double fire from time to time especially in tight spaces. When you have several people working in close proximity, all with nailers, all bored, some of them hungover, and a few just plain retarded, eventually some bad shit is bound to happen.

.
I don't think you can even look at those with out shooting yourself... I can't tell you how many times I've had them glance off out come out side ways... the worst is those micropins...even shooting those into dried oak your taking a chance of having it come back at you.
