Noway! if you are going to eat liverwurst it has to be on white bread with just mayo! Liverwurst is so gross, yet I love it!!! :D

Which is why I like the sandwich with Miracle whip. Liverwurst is very salty, and the stuff cuts that. Mayo is ok, but adds to the saltyness...gotta have lettuce too..I like the crunch...
Oh, and PB&J is great, but strawberry, on white, with ICE COLD MILK...:D

Liverwurst, literally meaning "liver sausage," is a typical sausage served in Germany (German: Leberwurst) and the Netherlands (Dutch: leverworst). This sausage is usually made with pork. Only about 10-20 % of the sausage is actually pork liver, which is enough to give it a distinctive liver taste. Other ingredients are meat, fat and some other organs. Every region in Germany has its own recipe for Liverwurst, often adding ingredients like pieces of onions or bacon. Braunschweiger is a spreadable liver sausage that is sometimes called liverwurst or just liver sausage in the U.S.
"Kalbsleberwurst", though the name translates to "calf liver sausage", normally does not contain the liver of calves, but of pigs. It only has to contain veal.
Liverwurst is often served in America in sandwiches, customarily served with red onion and Dijon mustard on a rye or whole grain bread.

Oh course, you just can't beat a good/great tuna sandwich......heres my (notso) secret recipe....
Brett's world famous crunchy tuna salad (at least in my mind it is)
1 red onoin
1 Head of Celery
1 Jar sweet gherkin pickles
Mayo
Miracle Whip
Lawry's seasoning salt
On a cutting board, start with the onion, dice about half of it into medium chunks, throw into bowl. Take two or three stalks of celery, wash and trim ends, cut and throw into bowl. Take several sweet pickles, trim ends, cut in half, and slice, throwing into bowl also. You should have equal amounts of all three in the bowl, but I usually go a little heavier to the pickles, I like them. The ingrediants should not be huge, rather medium size cuts, 1/4 inch, not more than 1/2 inch....pickles, keep around 1/4 inch slices.
Mix in tuna, I use two cans, and stir tuna and onions, celery, and pickles together till you have a good mix. Stir in mayo, I use tablespoons, and do this till the tuna is creamy, but not TOO creamy. When this is done, stir in one tablespoon of Miracle whip. DO this to taste. The flavor should have a small amount of sweetness to it, but not overpowering. Last, the seasoning salt. Take the shaker and dust the top of the mix, not heavy, and stir it in...the salt should be there, but not overpowering, enough to cut the taste of the sweetness.....if you practice, this comes out great. Buon appetito...
