After my disastrous adventure with the Raylar kit, I have decided to get a real engine. It is pretty much together just waiting on the pipes from CMI. Not sure how much HP it is going to make but somewhere between 650 and 700. I know it has already been dynoed but I forgot to ask. It goes on their in boat dyno machine as soon as the tailpipes go in. Working with Boost Power Marine has been great such much nicer than dealing with the other guys!!!! :)

Sweet. Think you'll see 80? 85? What did your insurance pop up to?

No idea how fast it will go. The engine I was running, the Raylar 600hp (um... yeah) was making under 500 hp not at the prop! I was seeing about 70-72 on it. I would guess somehwere around 80 but who knows. I wanted to be able to cruise around 50-55 without taxing the motor. I am sure I will be able to accomplish that with the engine.
As far as insurance goes..... DAMN!!! It gets expensive. It is about 3 times what I was paying with the HO. Oh well... None of us bought boats to save money.

Looks great. Now you need a clear engine cover so you can look at that thing all the time.
Congrats and I hope it runs as good as it looks.

I really wasn't THAT interested in hearing anything you had to say that day. You just had a BOATLOAD of fillies that were very pleasant to look at.
