I've taken photos of tornados and nothing compares to actually being there...it's an odd erie feeling seeing the damage first hand. Must rather be in an earthquake!!

I have some distributors who live within 30 miles of there. They were in the storm cellar for over 9 hours on 1 day.
These pictures are amazing. So sad.:(

I was in a tornado when I was very young, and have been in many earthquakes. It is hard to pick which one would better/worse. I guess I'll take the heat of the desert anyday!

Hard to believe something can come out of the sky and do that. The scary thing is that it was only one twister that did that. Friggin horrible!

Absolutely tragic.
I've visited Greensburg numerous times when I lived in Wichita. My son thought the worlds largest hand dug well was cool.. It survived as did the meteorite in the remains of the museum.
Friends of mine in Pratt have been over there helping out when they could. They rode out the April 19, 1991 tornado in Andover KS with us in our basement. That was a sobering and humbling experience that I wish on no man.
That's some tough folks out there, but it will be years before anything turns around for them. I hope for them, and mourn their dead.

Terrible thing to happen. Wifes and my Family still live in Topeka and both are having flooding issues. Wife and I rode out the Andover tornado as well. Living in Kansas we seen out share of them but not much better here in Arkansas.
God Bless those that have suffered.
