Anyone know where you can purchase the material itself for self installation or do all these places only sell it with install only?
Just have a small area that it needs to be, like 8x25 or so.

I did that in my backyard about 2 years ago. Best thing I ever did. We did about a 200 square foot area around my pool and about a 7' X 35' dog run along the side of my house. I paid $2400 for all of it. That inlcuded tear out and removal of my old grass. Always dark green and always fresh cut, can't beat it.

Plus, it doesn't suck the oxygen out of the air you're trying to breathe like regular grass.

Dog run is what my son needs it for, real grass they shred in a matter of days.

Who did you use? I've gotten a few quotes here in C-town anywhere from $2000 to $2400 for 265 sq/ft.

I was checking some out at Lowe's.This may be the way my son will go. A friend of his works for Lowes so he can get a discount on it and together they will install it. Its just for a dog run/kennel area because the dogs turn regular sod into a dust bowl in a day.
