I know a few peeps around here and have been entertained by this board for quite some time. I'm trying to sell my dingy to move into a larger boat. I'm tired of my truck sounding like a boat and my boat sounding like a pussified lack of testerone 9 year old boy.

The bowtie is one of kind (figuring out how to cast it...copyright problems with replicating the chevy logo too). My very close friend Tay Herrera made it for me after years of bugging him and 3 bowties later I got one. He does everything with a hammer and chisel. No cnc. No machines to speak of.
All I have to do is convince him to start engraving some billet boat parts and I'm set.
Here's some more of his work. The guy is seriously amazing. I'm pissed I never took the time to learn from him. He offered but I said I was too busy.

The work your friend does is awesome! It's never to late to learn from him. Definetly protect it with copyrights! I didn't want just a color for mine, like everyone else, unless it was somehow color with a tropical design. Hey.....we all have our tastes/themes.....that is mine.:D keep me posted on his work. We have a Large group and everyone (ages from teens to seens) has a truck (mainly Chevys w/ a few Fords sneaking in) and they all like the Truck eye candy!! We call Willow Valley our River home(s).

We have a guy that has a shop right next door to my buddy. He says he can do it. The problem is the undercuts. From what we can gather the cast would have to be multi-pieced in order to work. Any ideas about this if you could PM me.

He's about 8 months out right now. I can talk to him about doing anything that's Billet. He came from engraving guns and still does all the custom stuff for Weatherby. Before I wanted him to do the bowtie I actually bought some chrome exhaust tips. I wanted him to do the same design as a gun barrell but on a larger and shorter scale. I'm still waiting for my first idea.
Now, with these billet battery holders, billet handles, swimsteps, pretty much all billet pieces for boats (which he hasn't even attempted yet)...I bet he can design some pretty sick chit.
