I think Racing starts at 10:00am., mains are supposed to start at 1:00pm

At the Antelope race in the morning it was Trophy Karts and Rhinos and then about 1ish the Pro2, Pro4 and Prolites raced.

This is the post i was waiting for, but not to get off the subject. Since you guys are obviously into CORR & SCORE , have any of you heard of a truck named BIG OLY . It was in the 70s raced by Parnelli Jones in a 70ish bronco 2 whl. drv. Jbb was kind a enough to get some pics for me. What Id like to find out if anybody knows its whereabouts . Last I heard it was in Baker , CA. @ the Bun Boy (now Bob's Big Boy ) . Anyone that can tell me anything about this would be great ....thanks

Its about a mile from the casa, so I cant resist......
Going to take the toyhauler out there and hang out on Saturday night......
All are welcome if you want to stop by....I dont know where I will be at..........but if you ask enough people where Shrek is at, you are bound to find me.

You are in for a treat! I went to Chula Vista a couple times last year and was pretty impressed. The CORR Pro2 and Pro4's are downright bitchin to watch in person. Nothing replaces a Trophy Truck for me but this is well worth the $$ to watch since its so local. Stop by Timmy's boxvan and we'll have a few beers.

I remember Big Oly from when I was a kid and I seem to remember something was written about it or it was on display fairly recently. Maybe it was in connection with the Off Road Hall of Fame. I don't remember completely.

It had a 428 Cobra Jet motor in it , full cage ,trick dash w/ stewart warner gauges. that truck would jus fry the tires .. it was pretty sweet. wish i still had it.

I remember Big Oly from when I was a kid and I seem to remember something was written about it or it was on display fairly recently. Maybe it was in connection with the Off Road Hall of Fame. I don't remember completely.
If I'm not mistaken they had it on display at Horsepower Ranch Party last year or the year before at a Baja 1000 or Baja 500.

i think i have that issue , thats why i kinda brought this up . i was going thru some older mags and remembered seeing it. and no , wish i did though.
I had a 73 bronc as my first truck.. that thing was the most bad ass truck i ever owned. man i use to drive that thing without the top year round rain or shine! i used to tow my boat to the river with it. my mom acctually just got it back and dropped a fuel injected 5.0 ho in it as well as all new tranny, transfer case, front / rear diffs locked and geared its everything i wanted to do to it but never had the means or the time.. it just needs to go to paint wich is in the works right now

Nice sounds fun! As of now I have no plans to go only because I don't have a team to race with nor do I have a room lined up. Hopefully something comes together in the next week or so because I'd really like to go.

ya , i had a 78 beat to sh!t bronco when i was kid .not the same though. Heres a pic of my old prerunner back in the early 90s. pics a little fuzzy took a pic from a pic . not the greatest quality.

I have been resisting.......because I just dont need another hobby, or another thing that I really really like...........plus the wife will kill me if I tell her that I am adding another 6 races to my schedule..........haha

There are two classes right now. 8 to 12 and 13 to 16. That is for the CORR races. There are other venues starting up that will allow children as young as 5 to race.

Trophy Carts where a great show, that was some good racing. HDD was out of the race today with a blown head gasket they where fixing it today and will be leading the pack tomorrow. I cheated today and took my hand held race radio with a head set and could listen in on a half dozen spotters, that was a cool feature watching the race. If loud noise bugs you bring ear plugs, and make sure you get to the seats earlier then last minute as the stands where packed full today.
great time. Make sure you go by the Pflueger KMC pit and try your luck at the tire changing contest, they have prizes. You better at least beat my 10 year olds time of 1 minute flat.:D
Glad to see off road racing back in LA. Good family fun today money well spent. South bound manana, or I would be back out there in the heat. Instead I'll be pool side at El Coral waiting to prerun Monday morning... Damn Lifes good!:D Keep MMSW company so Sancho does not need to pay her a visit.:devil:
