I always opt for the plastic bags. they're smaller therefore it looks like you did better at shopping.
But if push come to shove
Being one to have been on rock bottom and knowing what it's actually like to be homeless and hungry. Even though I owned a corvette and an airplane.
Being worth a million is different than having a million.
I can offer this advise to anyone falling on hard times...
Make friends with the staff at your local Waffle House.God Bless that toothless waitress that fed me for 3 months back in 01.. :D smothered covered chunked diced and topped is alot better than Grub Worms any day.....

Lunch use to be like $5 now its a minimum of $10 - $12 for a sandwich. You wonder why everyone in America is so fat, Jumbo jacks are 99 cents and turkey Sandwiches are $9.

I usually spend between $200-$230 a week on groceries (no costco, that would be more) for a family of four. That doesn't include pet food, but it does include things like contact lens solution, shampoo and house cleaners. I try to keep it under $200 but it only works out that way about one week a month . . . then it's $198

5 kids. Put all through private school, and college. Only two left in college.
I'M ALMOST DONE!!!!!
My food bill was outrageous. But we watched our pennies pretty close. Never bought a new car, did a lot of camping. Managed to own three boats at the same time though.
And no TV. Actually bought a TV couple years ago. I'm 46 and this is the first time I've owned aTV, or even had A/C in the house.
Usually had to work two jobs. I'm finally in a position to have some money for me.
