The pre-owner put a nice nick near the stern, around the size of a silver dollar. They filled it in with silicone and called it a day. I'm not a novice when it comes to chip and scratch repair when it comes to cars. Was a pre-owned Euro lux dealer for almost 6 years. The chip is on the flake, so fairly hard for matching me think!
Not a knock on last owner, in case they are members! I don't mind half fix it jobs if they look good, silicone fill aint that. I'm thinking of filling this small chip with spot puddy, prep and use some duplicolor spray primer and a coat flat black. For the flake and with cars with tough for matching colors, going with testors enamel spray. Yep the same stuff for plastic model car/plane kits sold in the kids toy sections at Walmart, etc. I've fixed scratches on pretty much every European car you can think of, Rolls Royce's to Ferrari's. :jawdrop:
I'll finish with a couple of passes with higher quality auto spray paint clear. Or should just do gel?
