I need help. My wife wants the cover over the eng but I just did a bunch of upgrades and want the cover off, Can you look at my boat and the first 2 pics are with the cover on and and rest are with the cover off... So what do you think? Cover on or cover off.... I told her that HB will decide.... I know its not one of your million dollar boats like alot of you have but I truly love this boat. I've had the big boat with big payments but hey this ones paid for.... Thanks Here's the link.

The kids only have to get burned once to learn to stay away :D  :D
Motors are just too sexy to hide under a grandpa original cover...

Cover on. I have the exact same interior set up. The back seats would be useless with cover off.

Well, it looks like it's missing something if you leave the cover off. If you leave the cover off I would say that you need to cover the exposed wood that the motor cover sits on. More money more B.S. Might want to put an uphostered cap on it to clean that area up. But since you live with the wife and she owns all of the p---y in the house, I would lean her way. Bsides if some one was to get fryed on that engine, chances are the insurance company might not pay off. And then up your rates for the exposed engine.

Don't leave that cover on!!! It is just too gay lookin, you have to show some horsepower. My motor was covered and that was the first thing to go!:)

Nice boat.
Cover on for safety and it’s a sleeper as no one will know what’s under the hatch.

Keep the cover on when driving...And flip the hatch open when on the beach so everyone can see the motor. Well thats what they do in Havi.:)

Or having engine problems.
If it was me...I think about the best place on the boat to lay out on, and on your boat it would be the bow, so it wouldnt matter if the motor was exposed or not.

Good point..But all I keep thinking about is someone falling into the motor by accident.

If they have young enough children, then being a mom I would want the motor covered.
We have a deck boat, so the only place I can lay out is on the hatch.

I think the boat looks better with the cover on, and if you have kids, it's a no brainer.

No Cover! A well built engine deserves to be seen. Plus with a cover you can't hear it as well. Nothing like the sound of punching WOT, and listening your intake :D.
As for pipes, I learned once those are freakin hot! (when I had OTs).

I grew up boating on boats with the motors exposed and always had the thought of getting burned in the back of my head. With that in mind. Cover on.

Split the difference! Put the cover on but loose the upholstered scoop and let the Dooley poke through!
In fact, I think you should do a tunnel ram or a low rise dual quad... Or how about that Barry Grant Tri-Power set up??

I'd say cover on for safety and cuz momma wants it. It makes a great sun deck while floating. If you go with the cover, I'd make it full width, with a bench seat in front of it and the carb sticking out the top if need be.
Nice boat.

Cover on for looks, safety, and insurance. If insurance finds out you took it off and you have a claim while it was off you are screwed. They probably will not insure it without the cover so you would have to lie to get coverage and you just give them an out. They will find any way they can to get out of paying a claim.

I know, you are not getting the response you wanted to get.I posted the exact same question a couple of weeks ago and got the same answers, but I have a 3 yr. old and a 1 yr. old so its a done deal for me.As for you, since I did not get my way, leave it off and be proud.
