My Brother Is Crazy

I have been trying to talk my brother into driving down from Sacramento with me to Havasu. We have a boat, but his friend has a boat already there and said we could hang with him if we didnt bring our boat. We have a place to stay for Memorial weekend as well. Problem I am having is he does not think it is worth the drive.
Will someone please explain to him that Havasu is always worth it and that Memorial weekend will more than worth it. We both love boating.

So far I am a fan. Only had the boat a year but love it. Have been thinking of a selling and getting a Cat though.

The boat rides well and has been up to 70mph which I thought would be fast enough when I got it and now I want 80-85mph. Go figure.

I don't bro. Never looked into the cats by any boat builders. I'm more of a deep V fan.

Thats a great looking boat. What do you have in it? I am torn because I wont more speed but I dont want to give up the room my boat has. The walk thru is great for my son and my wife love the open bow. Plus the price is right on the V and the insurance is only $350 a year.

Thanks man. I have a 496HO in it. I hear you on the room and price. After seeing that it would fit my needs the 26 sig made the most sense.

Yeah, you can count a handful just about everyday out on the water. See a few cats as well. There is a forum member Dreamcat, who I beleive has their 28 foot cat. Maybe he can answer any questions you may have. It's a pretty nice boat too.

Edit. the Mohave thing was a joke. I've been on Havasu more than I have Mohave. Havasu is great, just be careful out there on Memorial Day weekend. It's a mad house. Me and my buds did a yearly trip for Mem Day but this year we decided not to. Lots of fun just crazy as hell.

I have a 454 with a whipple on it. If I keep the boat, this winter i will probably put an efi engine in it and leave off the whipple.
They do have nice lines and the boat gets a lot of compliments out on Folom lake. We dont have a whole lot of high performance boats up here but it is getting more popular.

Actually, I didnt know about all that fun stuff either. I was just thinking of the stuff that happens out on the water. I have never been either but have heard stories. Plus, I love to look at the hot boats and there just isnt much up this way.

True..but you get that every weekend. BigTicket I would wait until the next weekend. A bunch of people are coming from up your way and it is the DCB regatta and most important the sandbar will be open.:D
