My wife's bro, Ricky finally pulled the trigger on his first boat.
He got the brand new 27' Monterey deck boat - perfect for him and his family.
He and I might come out this weekend to run it for a couple days.

Our new Shockwave is still due to be delivered to Havasu on Thursday 6/14.
We have some friends coming from San Diego and we rented an additional park model for our AZ employees and we're calling it the first annual Havapalooza!!!!! :D

We will spend the 4th on Lake Arrowhead. They're having concerts in the village and we will watch the firework show from our dock w/some friends. I would much rather be in Havasu for the week :D

Did any of you guys hear about an accident last Thurs. on Rice Rd.? I think most of you met my God Daughter, Sarah, her friend was headed out to Havasu and was passing on Rice Rd. and hit another car head on killing a 60 year old couple.:(
He's 22 and basically his life is over. Their looking at amputating his foot. His passengers are OK but I guess he's pretty messed up:(

They want to update all the contract info: As for a reason for month to month they said nothing will change we will still have our annual status and can still pay our bill 6 month and 6 month.

For the past several years I always wear a t-shirt and hat while on the water. The past couple of days I've worn my t-shirt in the water.
Always keep the kids lotioned up and have them wear shirts when being in the direct sunlight for long periods of time.

Lynn - Lake Las Vegas was awesome. We went to Smith & Wolensky for dinner on the strip Friday evening, and spent the rest of our time @ Lake Las Vegas. They have a great Mediteranian village there w/shops and restaurants.
On Saturday we rented a 24' pontoon w/two wave runners out at Lake Mead. I was the captain of the boat. The boat only had a 40 hp Outboard :mad: and my cruising speed was a little faster than my boats idle speed. But it was all good.

Hi Lynn...a little after 4 we in the channel and the wind started picking up and it smelt like rain. We decided to leave and canopies we blowing in the channel, dust was everywhere. Daddy G and I were in the cove across from Steamboat when we finally decided to run back to the Islander. We got a good dose of wind and some rain, but nothing major. It cooled everything off. We ate dinner outside at Daddy G's and it was a pleasant 84 degrees around 6:30 pm.
We got off just in the nick of time!
And dinner was a blast, glad you guys could come by!!!:D

It was stormy today. Right when we got down to the Islander George told me the storm was going to roll through and he told me to wait it out a few minutes to see what was going to happen. Sure enough, after 10 minutes the wind shifted and the clouds were heading straight into town. I put the boat back in storage and it rained off and on for over 3 hours.

We're riding out a storm here as well. My brother had a work related accident yesterday and fell 10' on his head/face. He's in a Phoenix area hospital with multiple face & skull fractures.:(

It looked like it was going to storm again today but nothing ever happened. My friends from Las Vegas did not get to our house till 5:30 this afternoon so we never made it on the water. Hopefully, the weathers the same for tomorrow because we're expecting to spend most of the time on the water tomorrow. The boat is fixed and we're going to try the slips again this weekend :devil:

We got dumped on tonight! I big storm blasted through Havasu coming from the NorthEast. Of course our boat is in a slip so I had to go down to the Islander and drain all my water out. It fills up quickly because we don't hava a carpet kit. It was an anwesome pre and post lightning storm. I wish my camera was charged :devil:

Here in N. Scottsdale, we were surrounded by black clouds, I was sure we would get dumped on too.
Heck, I even hosed down the patio to ensure it! (guess I should have washed the truck)... ;)
All we got were a few sprinkles - played in the pool with the kids all afternoon.
We're heading to Riverside for my Grandma's 90th BD next week.
So, I don't know when the Heiligers will grace all y'all with our presence in Havi again? :confused:

I've been thinking about that. We had a decent monsoon roll through our home yesterday as well. Trouble is, until we get a couple new filter techs up and running, I have to stay close by in case I need to jump in a van and help out! Can you please swing by our house and make sure all the hatches are battened down? Our new boat's cover came with "rain sticks", so it should be good to go. But I had to use a generic car cover for the new golf cart, which I'm sure has blown away by now!?!
