There are steps on either side of the outdrive that lead down to below water level. I have two dogs and that alone would make me buy one.

I saw it yesterday on the 91 going east around Buena Park. Brent Leach is the owner of the company. I'm sure he will be at the Pomona boat show. He was at the L.A. and Anaheim show.

I know Lavey lays up his boats for him, I personally think they look like big tadpoles. They do seem to have some nice features ....Derek

i know they are over $100,000. just go to caliber1 the owner and brent are friends and he sold/or let him borrow the mold so he can start making damn near the same boat of his own.

I talked with them a bit at Demo Days at Irvine Lake. I got inside and checked it out. Seems like the from the rear to the steering wheel was a little too focused around the rear steps and not as roomy as others since you can walk around either side of the engine hatch. Aside from that, basic deck setup. I really like the lines on all the way around. I think the one at the show was eye piercing orange and had a Teague 800. The sales guy said they start right around $100k.

That is right they really start around 115K with my set up, pretty much everything like stereo, top, 496HO, hyd steering and a bunch of other options. Im overall really happy with mine, although i do want it faster thats really my only problem with it but thats my fault for not getting a bigger motor.

Brent is a good guy & so far everything stated has been true. Brent is Bob's son. He has a lot of marine experience etc. Lavey Craft does make the molds bla bla bla. Brent's boats are also able to carry a lot of weight with minimal effect on the performance. Next is a new company (I insure them) & things are looking pretty good. They have also had a few good write-ups.

ZI am still very interested in the Trident. I couldnt get my stuff together before Wes needed to sell the one i wanted, but I will be getting with him real soon. I hate the housing market sometimes!!

I saw the drawings of Caliber 1's deck boat and it didn't look any thing like the Next.
