Post a pic of the boat.
That Mustang is nice. Not really into the GT's (I like the coupes and LX more).
Does he have timeslips and video?

Generally anywhere from about $14-18K. Is the cage mild steel or cromoly? Blowproof or stock case w/scattershield on the trans? Being a stock suspension car....take a look at the torque boxes and see if they are properly boxed in. Check out http://www.nmradigital.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=156 There is always cars of this nature on there for sale including this car to help get you a range of prices.

Lmao! I was thinking about how many times in my life I had to work on my different boats on the lake or in the parking lot of a hotel through the night with what ever tools I could find, I guess at least when you are wrenching on the lake you can cool off in the water. :D

I thought the EXACT same thing!!! Climbing around hot headers....dropping tools in the lake!! I have my share of "Bassett" tattoos on my arms!!
Too funny!!!

And those are not street tires, they sure look like slicks to me.

Well, I am a Fox body Mustang fanatic. I have owned 6. I am more of a coupe fan myself but here is what I think.
The car has a lot of good components on it but it is a race car. Race cars are usually beat and no matter what, they will end up costing you a ton of money. 15k is not really a lot of money for a car that is ready to run 9s. If you were to just buy it out right, I would say that the 15k mark is not that out of whack. You have to decide if you really want to get rid of your boat for it.
Honestly though. You can build a good streetable Fox body that will run 10s all day long for about 7k or less over the price of the car. You can drive it on the street, smog it, and race it on the weekends.
Interesting. He went to 33 spline axles from the stockers but kept the 4 lug. That is really weird. :idea: :confused:

That thing looks like a money pit... 3000# car with N20.... hope you are rich!!..
make sure cage is NHRA certified until after 2008...
As said above: depending on how they set up the cam it may not be streetable so it will be a trailer queen. Is that what you want?
BC LOL.... a car is just a boat with four wheels LOL ;)

I have a low 9 second race car, and here are the issues I have with this car
1. How much nitrous does he claim he needed to run a 9? That looks like a 10 second car to me.
2. There is no such thing as a 9 second REAL street car...I am sure you will have all the issues: heating up, parts breaking, idiling, etc. Get ready to spend money and wrench on.

I hate to say it but a 9 second street car is really not that big of a thing these days.
There is a guy here in town running high 9s in a street driven EVO. Yes, he drives it to work at least once a week, and drives it to the track and runs sub 10 second passes in a fricken 4 banger. Granted, he has about 60k into it but you don't need to do that.
Throwerb:
I know I said 7k or less before, but for under 10k plus a cheapo Fox body you can build a low 10second DAILY DRIVER. I have done it, and many of my friends have done it. My second Fox ran 10s all day long. I drove it to work everyday, took it on trips and turned 10.80s at the track.
Honestly, you don't need a lot of this stuff to run tens, but this is a 571hp/516ftlbs torque set up that could put you in the mid to low 10s safely. BTW, this combo will run tens on DOT tires, not some big fatty slicks.
Here is the recipe:
* Keith Craft 306ci short-block, balanced, stock crank and rods, forged TRW pistons (cheap and good)
* "Vintage" TFS Street Heat cylinder heads with 1.94/1.60 valves, ported by B&B Performance of New Jersey (stock AFR 205s will do the same or better for about the same price)
* Ford Racing X303 camshaft, installed straight-up
* Trick Flow Specialties 1.6:1-ratio roller rocker arms
* Ford Racing GT-40 intake manifold with ported lower (cheap and easy to get used)
* Ford Racing 65mm throttle body
*Any long tube header from a decent manufacture. I prefer Texas Turbos.
* Pro-M 80mm mass air meter calibrated for fender-mount, supercharged application
* 42-psi Ford Racing fuel injectors
* Aeromotive sumped tank, A1000 pump, billet rails, boost referenced FPR
* MSD 6A box, coil, and BTM
* Approximate engine CR ratio: 9.8:1
* 17-psi boost on dyno (max without Boost Cooler was 15 psi)
* Vortech T-trim supercharger (2.75-inch pulley)
* Anderson Ford Motorsport Power Pipe
* Snow Meth injection.

I would say no more than 250 hp shot but, he's spinning the motor somewhere between 68-7200.

if the car is worth 15k or more, why can't he sell it for that and buy your boat?
