there is one thread on this already in the "***boats"section here but i think this needs to be here where everyone can see it and do their part. so,for those of you that don't want catalytic converters on their boats please take the time to fill out the survey. just takes a second. there is an article on this in the july issue of ***boat.the jist of it is they (EPA) want all boats not just the ones under 500 Hp to have catalytic converters . the EPA in there infinite wisdom seems to think that ***boatrs spend 50% or more of there boating time AT IDLE! WRONG! my stuff is parked at the sandbar, etc or being DRIVEN. on plain, cruising ,rpms up. etc.these are not canoes. that is what the survey wants to know about. anyway, the treehuggers are going to take the performance out of boating eventually if they have thier way.Bastards. the survey takes thirty seconds and needs support / responses. alot of them. here's a link to the thread which has a link to the survey. thanks for your time -Jas
p.s. feel free to bump this thread or maybe a mod could make it a sticky?

my boat is only 22' but i filled out the survey anyway. yeah, that survey kinda goes to show how bright these tree huggin' fags are.
at issue here is how much time your 500+ HP motor spends at 2000 rpm and under. race gas will kill a catalytic converter in short order any.
