Prepping the boat for going to Havi later this week and found the CD player DOA. It also has a CD in it that I would at least like to get back. Radio works but that's it. Fuses ok.
Anyone know how to get the CD out without tearing up the unit?

Typically you would have to open up the unit and remove the cd manually. Most of the time the cd transport needs to be removed. Most upper end Stereo shops can do this for you.

Check to see if you have a reset button.

Go buy a new deck. You can get a cheap Sony or Alpine for under $150.

Try switching the batt switch off and then hitting the reset, I would try anything for a favorite cd:D
If that doesn't work go out asap and get a new headunit. They are cheaper than a tank of gas. and if you're like me you will be HATING life without your fav tunes on the lake:D
Good luck.

The deck I have in the E-ticket is a deck I bought in Havasu. I (Jen) left the faceplate sitting on the car when we left for Havasu one weekend. Rather than have no tunes for the weekend I bought a new head unit to swap out for the weekend. As it turned out The EduKATor had the same stereo and theirs had died. They gave me their face plate and we were good to go. I kept the deck and put it in the E-ticket when we built it up. :)

tools required: mini flathead, and a paper clip. trigger the internal release clasp with the paperclip, and slowly work the cd out with the mini flathead by sliding it over the top of the cd (as to not scratch) and getting it to sort of hook in the hole of the cd
