I remember in the 70's, living in the Riverside was always kind of exciting - the B-52's out of March AFB would rattle your house apart in the middle of the night; then Wylie Labs would always be testing their rocket motors in Norco; and of course, unknown sonic booms were pretty frequent.
That's the first BOOM I've heard in a while.:)

Yeah I'm in corona and that was a good one. I wasn't expecting that either, made me nervous for a minute.

she got off the phone and asked "no seriously what was that"

It skeered the fawk out of me - every animal in the house freaked and when I went ouyt to look at my seismo-cam (the swimming pool)..it was flat. Kid you not, I went outside the house, scratching my head, looking for a Cessna on my roof.
It was pretty boomish.
