he did pretty good and didnt get to crazy
end up picking out the silverado 2500
he picks up tomorrow
after they clean it up

I ordered one in April and picked it up in May. It is a black 2500HD 4x4 LTZ Crew (I can't believe how many differed models they have). I ordered just about all the options except sunroof, navigation and DVD player. I know so many happy Duramax owners, including ones in my family that the decision was a no-brainer. This is my 5th Chevy, so I am biased toward the bow tie.
I definitely wanted the diesel, even though I may never tow anything worthy of it, since I use a motorhome for the desert and have a 19' boat. Even though the diesel is a $8400 option, the resale is much greater on it. I expect to own this truck for 10 years when will probably give it to my son when he turns 16, so the longetivity of the Duramax/Allison will be important.
I love the truck. It is the first new vehicle that I have ever bought for myself, so I wanted to get exactly what I wanted. The interior is really nice in these new ones. I hear people say that they don't like how the front is, but I heard the same thing about the previous model when it came out. Personally, I like the looks of the new ones a lot better than the 2004-2007 Classic look. The front is much larger and tougher looking.
These trucks scream for bigger tires, however. I put 33's on 18's on mine, levelled it out and it fixed it right up.
