CA Street Legal WR426 bike.

Thinking about selling my bike, it's a 2002 WR 426 that has been registered in CA as a street legal bike since new (I have a friend at the dealer). CA has since closed the loop hole so you won't find many of these out there. Uses an E-Line street legal kit, with hi/low headlight, turn signals, tail lights, brake lights with rear brake switch. Ty Davis 4 gal tank with YZ tall seat, oversize bars, Ti sub frame, Hot cams with Auto decomp(just kick it and it starts, no starting drills :D ), YZ spec timing, DR D full exhaust, Hand Guards, etc, Great reliable bike, I have lots of extra parts, including a 3.2 gal IMS tank and all the parts to run the bike without the e-line kit. I switch the bike over to YZ form for Glamis in the winter and then back to street legal Dual Sport mode for the summer rides. It's been a great bike, zero problems, and it smokes all my Honda XR400 street legal buddies both in speed and handling :D .

Here's the E-line number plate headlight with integrated turn signals, the rear fender with brake lights and turn signals, an extra 3.2 gal IMS tank, and a new rear Maxxis nobby.

I'll start putting the pressure on him :crossx: The switch back to dual sport takes about 15 min plus the tire change. Stock gearing was a 14 tooth countershaft sprocket. I run a 13 tooth for glamis and a 15 tooth for street use. Gives it a little more top end for short freeway rides at 75mph. All the extra parts go with the bike when I sell it. The large tank and the smaller IMS 3.2. I prefer the IMS tank for shorter rides because it's lighter. With the big tank I've made it from Baker to Needles on one tank, about 225 miles.

Well the buyer backed out at the last second, he bought a new DRZ instead, he wanted the elec start, oh well .....bikes back on the market. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Great handling, great power but seems to run a little hot. currently playing with jetting specs. WR was a great trouble free bike. The KTM is bitchen, just trying to dial it in to my liking with no worries. Good luck on the sale of the Yamaha!
