What would you expect to pay...

for a 50 hr service on a merc 496HO (actually this was the 150 hr service) from a certified merc shop?

well I dropped $900 on my service (at Percision Offshore in HB), I thought I remembered the 100 hour service cost me around $500(Boat brokers in Havasu) is service that more expensive in OC or is percision just a little pricy?
Part of it was my fault for not asking what thier charge was for this before dropping off the boat, but I just assumed everyone was in the same ball park.

I paid about $700 when I had my 496 but that included an impeller.

I think I paid about 1100 at Absolute but this is with twins and two h2o pumps that needed welding and face work.....
