I must be too used to them to be woken up by a small one. Like Kachina 26 said, the dogs were acting funny last night....

I felt it. One of those I nights where I had done some computer stuff then read for a while just enought to get ready to fall asleep. Then about 5 mins before I am totally asleep, friggin house start rockin. Not too bad last night but I was in the thick of it in the Northridge quake. When any earthquake hits it brings back memories and all I can do is start racing through the house getting ready to wake everyone up. I shook my wife for 10 seconds, she never made a peep. It was quickly over and I was wide awake again. :(

Definately was a nice respectable jolt. Felt it pretty good in Simi. But the epicenter was only a few miles from our house.
There was no noise or rolling before the initial jolt. It hit hard all at once.

Well at least I wasn't crazy! Knocked a few things over in the house, but no damage.
My wife hates them so she was freakin' out!

Same here...After the Northridge quake, these little one's are nothing. I wake up about 5 minutes before each earthquake. at least the one's I can feel. I kinda ride it out, but now with my 2 1/2 year old, I am worried about getting in his room fast and getting him out.

A magnitude-4.5 earthquake struck the Southland Thursday, but there were no reports of injuries.
A bridge on Whites Canyon Road between Soledad Canyon Road and Via Princessa in Santa Clarita was ordered closed Thursday morning after two cracks were found, Lt. Diane Walker of the Los Angeles County sheriff's Santa Clarita Station said. Inspectors will have to determine if the bridge is safe, she said.
The quake, centered four miles north-northwest of Chatsworth, struck at 12:58 a.m., and was followed by three small aftershocks, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
A magnitude-1.6 temblor was recorded at 1:14 a.m., one of the same magnitude at 1:49 a.m., and one measuring 1.8 at 2:49 a.m. -- all within three miles of the initial quake's epicenter, according to the USGS, and all too small to be felt.
"It's good, actually, that we have these type of earthquakes that wake people up and get them excited, because that makes them think, 'Well, maybe I should renew the supplies in my earthquake kit, or maybe I should bolt the bookcases to the wall or take down this glass picture over my bed,' or ... something that might save their life or make life a lot easier when we do have the big one," Caltech seismologist Kate Hutton told reporters.
Shaking was reported from as far away from the epicenter as Marina del Rey, Lancaster, downtown Los Angeles, Simi Valley and Oxnard.
Hundreds of car, home and business alarms went off in the Chatsworth area, and some San Fernando Valley-area residents called radio stations to report that things had been knocked off the walls in their homes. One man said his home-office had been "thrashed."
The alarms prompted officers to rush to local businesses to check for burglars, according to a sergeant at the Los Angeles Police Department's Devonshire Station.
No injuries or structural damages were reported, Lt. V. Neglia, also of the Devonshire Station, said.
The Los Angeles Fire department remained in normal operating mode and did not immediately receive a single 911 call in connection with the quake, according to department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

OverKillI'm not SoCal Fun, but this might help. :)
Go to www.wunderground.com then type in the city or zip code that you're interested in. Once you're on the page showing the weather for that city or zip code, scroll down to the box that says, "Free Weather Stickers for Your Homepage." That's one way to do it.
Additional info here: http://wiki.wunderground.com/index.php/Weather_Stickers
Hope this helps!
