The time is here for me to shop for a new digital camera. My research uncovered this new Pentex... (http://www.h20camera.com/consumer/overview.jsp)
It's JIS Class 8 waterproof and can be used for underwater photography (stills and video) up to 5' (1.5 meters) down. It's also dust proof rated. I think it might be a good choice for a desert boating environment. Anybody have any experience with Pentex Digitals or thoughts on this camera?

BTW....Amazon's got it for just over $300 delivered, after rebates.
Thanks, RTJas :D

Bought one at the end of last summer for my wife. It takes great photos, but I haven't tried it underwater yet. I've only had cannons so this is my first Pentax. Ive bought housings for two Cannon digital Elphs now and at an additional $150 to $175 for the housings, this was a deal. We bought it at Costco. I love their return policy on stuff. The other thing I like about it is that it will take a video until it runs out of memory on the car. With a 1GB card It'll shoot 30 mins of video. I might have to get a few more cards for this next summer!

Hey Brady Bunch, I got a few questions for you about that camera. Its says 0.05 second shutter lag. So I assume when you hit the button theres really no delay to take a picture right? Also how long of a delay is there between pictures? And does the delay get any worse in the dark? And what kind of memory card does it come with? Thanks.

sorry dog

That's the WPi, they have a new W10 they say is coming out next month, but it's already available at some website. I think I'm sold on it!
Thanks for all the feedback everyone, it helped a lot.
