It looks like the remote controlled ski puller thingy

02-22-2006, 01:41 PM
I will give you a hint......
It isn't a boat. It has a jet ski motor. You will get wet......
But once you get moving you won't touch the water!! ;)

ChumpChange

So a submarine maybe? But how would that explain the part when it is moving you are dry?

riverbound

A mobile diving outfit. when you are done diving you get on top of the white thing and ride it back (hence the dry part)

Looks like a jet pack that allows you to fly above water and that boat thing holds the fuel cell and maybe provides propulsion horizontally.
Also looks like there is a lot of extra silver material that could help as a lifting device. The only thing throwing me off is why the yellow hose is hooked to the front of the bow...... Unless, we are looking at it all wrong.
The boat provides components for the pack and nothing more, such as fuel... So the jet pack, which couldn't get wet......
I got it.... It is a jet pack, that gets it's power from the boat device which houses the fuel cell and generates the power. The yellow hose delivers the thrust to the jet pack. The jet pack and driver pull the boat as it travels around the water. The boat doesn't provide any propulsion at all, it is basically a floating trailer. They cant put the components on the pack because if it got wet it would ruin it, so that is why the boat is needed. Looks like you can go about 30' above the water in flight.

Ok, after reading the hints, guesses and looking at that thing....
The gizmo next to the truck is a harness, the harness is attached to some water jets which in turn are connected to the yellow hose. The yellow hose, probably fireman's grade...lol, are connected to "bubbles II" which is basically a water pump. You attach yourself to the harness and turn on the pump and take the jet pack ride of your life.....
How close am I....

Bubbles II, it's the smaller version of RD's lil boat...it looks like a itty bitty day cruiser if you look at it...
Ok, this is my vision.
The IBDC (Itty Bitty Day Cruiser) using it's jetski motor, sucks water and uses the output to propell the jet pack...the jetpack is steerable and sort of tows the IBDC around with it...The rider of the device is about 10-15' off the surface of the water. enough to cause some anxiety, not enough to get hurt if pressure fails...
That's all I got.
Scream <---vivid imagination too

Scream is the winner, with Magic 34 coming very close.
I didn't take alot of still but took what video I could with my camera. I will have to post those from home tonight, but I can say this thing was incredible!!!! It is designed by a Japanese guy and tuned by a 15 year veteran jet ski racer. It has a jet ski motor inside and the jet propulsion comes from what would be the tail nozzle on the jet ski. It is essentially towed around by the jet pack and follows behind you.
He was able to reach heights of 30', the limit on the hose and they said it would lift about 500lbs.
They hope to get it to market in about three years and will be continually testing it. We jus happened to run across them in the middle of nowhere when we were doing a TRUCKIN' photo shoot.
