Anyone use those mudflap looking rock guards while trailering? They look like they hook up to your tow rig, near the receiver area and are removable. I would like to know who makes them and maybe contact info.I just bought a new boat and don't want the paint chips my last boat and trailer suffered. Thanks.

I'm sure you could find them in any R.V. mag. or web site.

I have a set that I always use when trailering, got them at the local RV supply store for about $75. They work great and are permanently attached to my removable hitch ball.

I made a set similar to the link, I used angle iron across my hitch with two mud flaps on the end. I used a u bolt to attach it to my reciever. You can make it for 30 bucks or less. The mud flaps from a truck store or truck stop will be the most expensive part.

looks like a nice set up....but 230.00 + shipping, that hurts. better than a few big chips in the trailer and hull I guess..

I just bought a Tow-tector to use with my new boat. They have the nylon brushes like the big RV deals. I have an HD with a Duramax and the exhaust melted the nylon brushes within 10 minutes. I didn't even make it on the highway. Stay away from those types.
