We have done it in jeeps a few times and used to ride it on dirt bikes when we lived in Havi.
It's about 45 miles one way starting at Standard wash. You head out into some big wide sandy washes and deep canyons, trasition to a little desert 4x4trail then some open graded road for high speed runs. Then over the 3,700 foot pass and into a Joshua tree forest down into Wikieup for refreshemnts and fuel. Anyone wanting to do a one way can have trailers taken to Wikieup via Kingman to Wikieup by Hwy 93, an easy drive. Might want to have a "just in case" vehicle and trailer there anyway.

I always end up making a wrong turn or 2 at some wash intersections but always find my way. I’ll have to prerun it with the GPS and get a good bread crumb trail if we are to have a group relying on me getting them there. That's why I kept asking Todd to do it :D

We added the rear seat and cage with the cooler rack, and we can't wait to make a run or two soon. The Wikieup trip sounds awesome! We're off to Moabi the weekend of Oct 19th, and there's a desert poker run in the Morongo Basin area Sat. Oct 6th that we'll be at as well: http://www.desertrun.org/desert_run.html.
Mebbe the other October weekends will be the one you guys choose, we always have a good time!

That sounds good. For starts I might consider pre-running it one way in the 97 Landcruiser. I would run it from Wikieup to Havi. All I need is a dependable GPS route bread crumb trail. Not sure if you or anyone else is game to meet in Wikieup or not.
I could always do Havi to Wikieup too and exit for home ( Carefree/Scottsdale) after the one way to Wikieup. We still have lots of hot weather ahead to figure this all out. I'll set the trip in my GPS using the topo software. I think it will be 95% close to the route.
