For those of you who had the chance of meeting him, he passed away on Monday night tuesday morning sometime.
He was found early tuesday morning infront of the AGAVE...
Disco was murdered.
Disco will be missed.

sad, but true...
it was a little weird being there the other night and seeing the flowers set up where he sat, just blended in like it was him sitting there.

Kilr, was it confirmed that he was murdered? He was pretty sick, and I know there was some speculation that he was murdered, but I was curious if the coroners report was in.
Happy go lucky drunken bum, that I will miss.

Yes Rick it was a murder,
the back of his head was smashed and both his wrist were slashed in attempt to make it look like a suicide.

Mark would always spend some time talking with him. Give him some cigarettes and beer. How sad.:( Who would want to kill a man that like, who didn't have anything? How pointless. Nice town.

Just a lot of bad stuff for a small town.
Agreed...Wasn't like that when I bought here 21 years ago. :( My trips to Havasu used to be every other week like clock work. Not so much any more.

That sucks. Are you sure he was murdered? Not that it would surprise me in this world we live in. I spoke with him the middle of July for about 45 minutes. He looked me in the eye and told me he was contemplating suicide and he asked me what does someone do when they're feeling this way? He kinda caught me off guard with that question and I didn't really know what to say. I did tell him that I thought suicide was the coward's way out. From the few times I talked with him he seemed like an alright guy who was just down on his luck. I just can't understand what anyone would gain by killing a man who had nothing.
Whatever happened, he's in a better place now.
Goodspeed Disco.

What saddens me is this crime will go unsolved due to the fact he was a transient.
No he did not ride a bike...
Mark YES he was sick, but from what I know and what I have been told, he was murdered

RIP!!
I never gave Disco a beer but i used to give him water or gatorades, figured the last thing he needed was alcohol.
gave him $5 on my way out of the market the last time i saw him. Some of the transients down there are obnoxious but as anyone that knew Disco knew he was just minding his own buss and usually a smile and hello.
Disco was a vietnam vet,
Disco thanks for your services to our country and again rest in peace!!

Speculation and rumor mill that he was murdered, but I'd wait for the coroners report before banging the tribal drums.
Hell, maybe somebody spun out their boat, bumping his head while cuting his arms with the prop. :D

Sad :(
If its who I think it is, we were bbq'ing in the channel last month and gave him a hamburger, couple of dogs soda and chips....he was very appreciative. Sat and chatted with us while he ate, thanked us and went on his way. Nice guy, down on his luck.

The accounts in the paper stated that it appeared Disco died of natural causes, no visible sign of injuries or trauma...course the paper has been known to be wrong. But I'm thinking natural causes :(
RIP Disco :(

the count is 0-3 for the year
now he is a transient who was disliked by the local law enforcement.
You answer that question.
Of the two suspects one disappeared and has not been seen since that day and the other cant keep his mouth shut.....
But what the hell do I know, back to the ball box for me....
