If you were given the option to be a lot smarter...or a lot wealthier than you are now...which would you choose....and why?
:D

Well, if I was smarter, I suppose I could figure out how to get wealthier.
Then be both!;)

Idiots can get rich (Vick), the wealthy can't seem to get smarts (Hilton)
I'd rather be more intelligent then I'd work on the wealthy part! :D

That's a no brainer...wealthier. I'm already over-educated and under-paid.

Not automatically true......
I know some incredibly intelligent people.......who work for peanuts....and I know some very very wealthy people.....who have trouble understanding the newspaper
I also know a few very wealthy people...who seem constantly unhappy
There are no givens ...

IMO, wealth seems to bring out alot of ignorance in some people (more money than brains). But on the other hand, there are some people who have alot of intelligence but don't have the common sense to make the money. I myself would like a LITTLE bit more of both. I could use it.:)

Wealthier, definetely. Brains can't buy happiness, but money sure as hell can.

No doubt, Wealth. Then I can hire someone to do my thinking.

Take a look at a cross section of this board. Some of these people can barely write a sentance, and they have 100K... 200, dare I say even 400 - 500 and up boats?
I'd take the dough.

Money can buy education...
Education can not automatically get you money...
There are lots of smart people right now waiting for the mail man to show up with their check...
Better said....unemployed!

Money can buy the 'opportunity' for education, but money cannot buy intelligence.
So, I'll take the money. I will then buy Kilrtoy from Miguels wife and give it to him. Nothing to do with intelligence - Its a man thing!

I will take street smarts over intelligence most days of the week; those are the folks who win in the boardroom...they hire intelligent people to worry about the details.
I would also take being rich and dumb over smart and broke....so I lose at scabble against the wife...big deal!:)

I'm smart enough to know that life isn’t about work. I'll take the $$$ please. Education is over rated. Just ask Miss South Carolina.:D

I already said I would lose at scrabble... I will stick with wealthier...
Maybe you should choose smarter....it might help you park your boat more effectively in the future! :):):)

If given the choice, I would choose wealthier as the lesser of two evils.
As arrogant as it may sound, more intelligence than I have (not that I have a great deal, so we will just say "more") would likely cause me to be even more cynical than I am. I'm not equating intelligence with cynicism, only saying that with my personality, additional intelligence would be causal to the further realization of how few people can find their ass from a hole in the ground. :D :) :jawdrop:
More wealth, well, as smart as I may consider myself, I'd still figure out how to spend it. My toys would get bigger, and I would grow less satisfied with them sooner. I know this, because I have a much larger income than I did ten years ago, but still seem to have very little in my "pocket" on any given day.
So... in conclusion, I am glad I don't have to make this choice.

Give a man a fish he eats for the day, teach a man to fish and he eats for life...
I will take intelligence.

I will take intelligence.
Give the man money and he can buy his own fish.
You cannot give anybody intelligence!
