Gibson's are just quiet. Need to throw a magnaflow or something on there.

What he said Gibsons are very quiet. Mags are nice but a Exhaust shop down here has a in house brand that sounds sweet on the 5.4 my son's truck sounds very nice, all ss and a very nice tip, same warrenty as the Mag.

when i bought the truck it had a 40 series flowmaster on there but did not sound any louder at all. im just looking for something that has a nice sound but is not too loud. i was hoping the gibson would work but just not loud enough. magnaflow maybe???

Put some zoomies on it if you want to hear it. But then you won't hear that tire blow on the trailer. But you will see sparks and maybe a good fire.

Cut the cats out. Also get an O2 simulators from summitracing for the secondary O2`s. The ones for a mustang will work (4.6). I use them alot and they will even work on the 10 cylinder trucks. Save yourself 4 miles per gallon as well.

3" in and 2.5" out,,,HINT: thats what we in the industry call a KNOCK OFF. It aint a Flowmaster. If it were,,,you`d be charging more than a bill. I get knock offs for 19 bucks each.

Just make sure that if this guy does this he has it set up to install the cat easily cause here in Commiefornia we must have the cats in for smog purposes:rolleyes: :(

...or EFI Live and run it lean! Then after emissions inspection set the ECU back. Works like a charm.

Keep the gibson. loose the tail pipe and have a turn down put on. You get to keep the mellow Gibson sound, but will hear it alot more. Most people are using turn downs anyway.
