I am in the market for a new digital camera. Anyone have any recommendations. I don't need anything too crazy, want to stay under $350.
Also, I would like to find one that has a short "time between photos". Any suggestions....

I have an Olympus Stylus 770Sw paid over $450 back in March of this year (ext warrenty, 2gig SD card, and camera itself), at Best Buy.
Its bad ass to say the least... part of the reason why I bought it was because its waterproof to 33', shockproof from up to 5', crush proof, and has 7.1 megapixels. Perfect for the Lake/River/Boat/Desert.
Im sure the price has come down by now.

The Olympus water-proof camera is going to be my next digital camera.

I just when through this and Cannon is hard to beat. I wanted an ultra compact Point and shoot for vacations and ease of use. I went with the Cannon SD 1000 7.1 MP. It's small, really small, and takes awesome photos. price dropped for $218.99 at CC on-line. Man I am glad I waited, I paid 400+ for my 4MP Olympus back in 2003. I would get out and take a look at them in-person.

Bought the wife the Pentax Luminix at COSTCO. Great pictures, fast response to the next shot, excellent lense, but not user friendly.
Thought it was us until others on other forums bitched it is a PITA to use,
We'll probably take it back.
A fuxstory everytime you snap a shot.
So,,, we suggest COSTCO in case the camera sux,, easy return.
Make sure the camera you buy has a eyepiece view finder, not aim and shoot from the monitor 'cause that really sux.
Many Olympus are that way.

My friends and I are camera freaks, I have a Cannon, they have Sony cyber shots and I swear I want one. They take great pics and are really user friendly, and they have never had anything go wrong with them. Just my .02cents

I have a Sony CD-350. It takes great pics and is user friendly. It has a small cd in it and when it is set in normal mode, it will hold 1200 pics.

My wife just bought me Sony Cyber Shot DSC-H9 and gave it to me for an early birthday present a couple of weeks ago. I really like it. Takes great pics and is pretty user friendly.
