That was crazy. The flex that the top deck was doing is a little would make me want to spin out in the reeds:D

There average speeds on this course were quite low due to all of the corners, I'm thinking they were averaging low 90-high 80's. Wide open courses they will push over 100+. The record for these races is 138mph on the lower Rouge River in Gold Beach Oregon. The driver was Justin Boice, The creator of Boice jets. I don't remember the setup other than he was running a twin turbo setup 650+cu.in. The length of the boats for each class varies 16-21ft. This boat was 21ft. The were running rpms close to 6500. Glad you like the vid!!!!:D

Awesome vid!
Average speed is easy to figure out though... Since you had a 6 mile course, you convert 5.44 minutes into hours which is 344/3600 = .09555555
6 % .09555555 = 62.79 mph.
Average speed was 62.79mph. About what it looked like actually. Probably hit 80 a couple of times.
You know us jetboater guys though... all of them are 100 mph boats... :D

I always like mathmaticians:D The couse had to many coners for a full balls to the wall run but they do go over 100mph. The course was rather to short to I made a typo on the video and didn't realize it until it was posted the course length was 8.1 miles!! Had to get up to speed when you have to get out of it for a turn!

Big difference.. Average is 89 mph in that case...
Doesn't look that fast in the video though... Looks fast and quick, but they must have been going WELL over 100 mph on the straights to have a 90 mph average....
You sure it was 8.1 miles?

Not bad for sections that are only 6" deep. :D

Geez, the boat's 2' out of the water, so the water was actually 2 1/2' deep. :D
Take a look at the video on some of the corners and hit the pause button, You'll see the rocks right under the water. Also notice how the color changes in the water that is how you read a river for depth. The browner the water the less there is. The darker blue green sections are deep water.:D
